CDROM/AJ/V106/P2429 Variable Star Survey (Schmidt & Reiswig 1993) ================================================================================ The Behlen Observatory Variable Star Survey: Finding Charts and Light Curves for the First Ninety-Three Stars Edward G. Schmidt, Darwin E. Reiswig <1993, AJ, 106, 2429> =1993AJ....106.2429S ================================================================================ Abstract: In a previous paper, photometry for the first ninety-three stars in a photometric survey of variable stars was discussed. Finding charts, accurate coordinates, and light curves for those stars are presented here. The reliability of the coordinates from the General Catalogue of Variable Stars is discussed. The magnitude scale of the present photometry is compared with that of the Hubble Space Telescope Guide Star Catalogue. Description: The data are contained in a single Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) file in 93 ASCII table extensions. The FITS tables contain the photometric data for the variable stars discussed by Schmidt, A.J. 102, 1766, 1991 and this paper. Each extension contains data for one star for a total of 93 stars. The table columns contain the HJD - 2,440,000, the phase calculated with the period and epoch in the extension header, V, R, V-R and a flag. The flag contains a colon if the variable fell close to a bad pixel or column on the CCD. Such data should be treated with caution. The data for each individual star has been extracted from the FITS file and placed in the subdirectory STARDATA. The files are named for the star that the data represent, e.g. AK_GEM.DAT, TY_CAM.DAT, etc. The format of all data files is the same and is described below.
